Story

Violet was always shy. She had few male friends growing up, and saw their differences as a divide between them. It became her nature to be cautious and reserved around boys. Eventually, once her teenage years were behind her, she responded to displays of interest with indifference as a way to hide her apprehension. In this way she avoided something she felt she should have learnt years ago, and as time went on it became easier to convince herself that it was now too late to ever bother learning.
